Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been open?
Larry 'Lo-Lo' White opened the original Phoenix location in the summer of 2002. Larry got his start in the restaurant business at Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe, a famous downtown Phoenix soul food restaurant owned by his grandmother. Larry started running plates at Mrs. White's as soon as he was old enough to carry them and began serving chicken and waffles at Mrs. White's in 1997.
Why isn't the Phoenix location open late on Saturday nights?
Because downtown Phoenix is slow on Saturdays. We're open late on Friday nights because of a demand that simply isn't there on Saturdays.
Do you have outdoor seating?
Our Scottsdale location offers outdoor seating in the fall, winter, and spring. We currently do not offer outdoor seating at our Phoenix location.
Are you planning on expanding to more locations?
Lo-Lo's is a family owned business and any decision to open more locations will be based upon our ability to offer the same high quality food and excellent service in a family setting.
Are you planning on franchising?
See the previous question.
Do you serve alcohol at either Lo-Lo's location?
We don't currently serve alcohol but are considering acquring a limited liquor license in the near future.
Can I reserve Lo-Lo's for a private party?
Absolutely! Both locations are available for private parties. See our reservation page for more information.
Do you charge gratuity for large parties?
